Privacy Policy
Overview
HabitualOS (“we,” “us,” or “our”) powers custom wellness and practice support applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use any HabitualOS-powered product or service.
What We Collect
When you sign up, we collect your email and authentication tokens (e.g., Google, Apple) to create and secure your account. We also use cookies and local storage to manage sessions and keep you logged in. Disabling these may affect functionality.
Your Personal Data
You may choose to share information like your name, demographic details, check-ins, reflections, or usage patterns. This helps personalize your experience and improve the platform. You are welcome to use an alias if you prefer.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. We monitor system activity to ensure it is used appropriately. If a data breach occurs, affected users will be notified promptly. We are committed to transparency and take all reasonable steps to secure your data.
Data Usage
We may use your data to:
- Operate and personalize your experience
- Analyze patterns to improve the platform
- Troubleshoot issues
- Generate de-identified, aggregate insights
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. If the business is sold or transferred, user data may be included in the transaction, but any transfer will remain subject to this privacy policy or a comparable policy.
Sharing with Clients
If you are using a HabitualOS-powered app through a coach, provider, or organization, some of your usage and progress data may be visible to them. In one-on-one or invite-only use cases (such as working directly with a practitioner), identifiable data may be accessible to that provider as part of your agreed working relationship.
For larger programs, anonymous or aggregated trends may be shared with the provider to help improve the experience and track general outcomes. Personal reflections and identifiable input will not be shared unless explicitly enabled or agreed to.
During this early phase of development, backend access may be used to support platform stability and improvement. No personal information is ever sold or shared externally.
Children
HabitualOS is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.
Communication
We may contact you with support, product updates, or usage reminders. You can opt out at any time by contacting support. In addition, for any questions or privacy-related concerns, contact support.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by the effective date at the top of the page. Significant changes may also be communicated via email or in-app notifications.
